Much thanks to everyone who came out on this beautiful day for the debut of our latest bands: Club Soda, The Black Tides, Teens on the Run, Fourimaginations and Poisonous Flowers of the Night Forever. They totally rocked the audience at the Philip T. Young Recital Hall!

Our camp program this past week took place at the Victoria College of Art. This fabulous building allowed us to expand our camp program from 12 participants to 19. It was very inspiring to be in a space where art and creativity happens year-round. It gave the campers the energy and space to learn new skills, play music together and be loud!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners, donors, sponsors, volunteers and staff who helped make camp possible for this year – it definitely couldn’t have happened without you!

Donors & Partners: Victoria College of Art, Larsen Music, Ohtsijah Photography, CFUV Radio 101.9 FM, Third Space (formerly the UVSS Women’s Centre), Burnside Gorge Community Centre, Long & McQuade as well as a number of anonymous donors.

Volunteers & Staff: Phoenix Bain, Jessica Benini, Ann-Kristin Blanken, Devon Grieve, Caitlin Gallupe, Carina Foran, Morgan Cook, Ashley, Hall, Jenny Kendrick, Laura Jeffery, Beth Miller, Eden Oliver, Tina Pearson, Jo Roueche, Jessamy Tedlie, Jay Wedel plus many folks who helped out on the spot with gear, instruments and an assortment of helpful tasks.

On behalf of the GRCVI Board of Directors, much thanks to everyone for their hard work for the 2016 summer program!
